Introduction Of Microsoft
Microsoft is gearing up for its annual Build developer conference, which kicks off next week from May 19 to 22. As with previous years, Build is expected to spotlight major announcements—especially around AI. This year, all eyes are on how it’s plans to expand its AI integrations across Windows, Microsoft 365, and other services.

At last year’s event, Microsoft unveiled several AI-driven updates, including Copilot integration with It’s Teams, the introduction of Copilot+ PCs, and the debut of Windows Volumetric Apps for Meta Quest headsets. This year’s keynotes, which will be streamed online for free, are expected to push even further into the AI space.
There’s growing anticipation that it’s will showcase deeper Copilot integration across both consumer and enterprise software. Since raising prices by about 5% last November on key services like Windows 365, Office 365, and it’s 365, the company has been under pressure to deliver added value—new AI features could be just the ticket.
Copilot is likely to take center stage again. Reports suggest Microsoft is experimenting with AI models from companies like xAI, Meta, Anthropic, and DeepSeek as potential alternatives to OpenAI, amid signs of tension between the two firms. These experiments hint at major changes ahead for Copilot, possibly including a shift away from OpenAI’s models.
For Windows users, Copilot may be gaining new “agentic” features—capabilities that let it perform routine PC tasks on its own. Leaked information from TestingCatalog points to an upcoming “Action” button within the Copilot interface, which could automate everyday actions with a single click.
Another potential highlight is the unveiling of Microsoft’s own family of AI models, known as MAI. These models are reportedly designed to rival those of OpenAI and could be made available via API—potentially marking a major strategic move.
With AI clearly at the forefront of Microsoft’s roadmap, next week’s Build conference promises to be packed with innovation. Whether you’re a developer, tech enthusiast, or everyday user, it’s an event worth tuning in to.
